Submissions
Blackwater Publishing is happy to consider manuscript submissions from any author, regardless of their professional profile or personal circumstances. However, we exclusively publish non-fiction from the arts, humanities, and social sciences which deals with cultural and social topics, and have a strong preference for shorter, pithy texts suited to a general audience.
Blackwater is happy to consider both single- and multi-authored texts, as well as edited collections.

Open access
While we are committed to print publication where possible and appropriate, all of our titles are published under open access Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 International licensing (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
Send us your manuscript
Blackwater Publishing only considers drafts of finished manuscripts — we do not offer contracts on the basis of proposals for books that are yet to be written.
Prospective authors should prepare the following materials for submission:
1. A draft of the finished manuscript;
2. Blackwater’s Book Proposal Form.
Both files should then be sent in .docx format only to the following:
